The Sokołów Flavour Academy achieves goals that go beyond typical culinary topics, and takes steps to address “good life” in a broad sense. The workshop at the Sokołów Flavour Academy was about creating a recipe to keep New Year's resolutions, such as looking after yourself and following an appropriate diet. Many people make resolutions at the beginning of the year to change their lifestyles or to develop healthy eating habits. It is a shame that so many people give up already after a couple of weeks. How to maintain a strong motivation to achieve your goals that are aimed to improve the quality of life? How can accomplishing our goals become our success? Another meeting of the Sokołów Flavour Academy, attended by food bloggers, as well as editors of the culture and food magazine “Kukbuk”, was an attempt to find answers to these and other questions.
The workshop was run by Luiza Olichwier-Skwierawska, representing the company Lotnia, a coach and lecturer, a certified Design Thinking coach, effectively supported by experts from Sokołów S.A., Aleksandra Chalimoniuk (Public Relations and Communications Manager) and Sylwia Miszczuk (HR Director).
'In the workshop, we tried to combine personal development tools and the project method Design Thinking,' said Aleksandra Chalimoniuk, Public Relations and Communications Manager at Sokołów S.A. 'This is an excellent tool which drives innovative thinking regardless of what you are working on at the moment. In the workshop at the Flavour Academy, the Design Thinking method helped us look at the challenges from a new perspective and trigger off out-of-the-box thinking. Teamwork was conducive to the sharing of ideas and experiences when looking for ways to keep New Year's resolutions. As a result, meeting challenges certainly became easier for the participants.'
The workshop participants were learning how to define a goal, how to plan activities intended to achieve the planned goal and how important it is to celebrate small successes. The guests also received dedicated motivational cards to support the accomplishment of objectives.
The culinary part is a staple element of each workshop at the Sokołów Flavour Academy. Together with Dominik Moskalenko, the Sokołów master chef, the participants prepared dishes which make a healthy diet a pleasurable experience. The classic Caesar salad was served in its lighter version, with Sokołów butter fillet and yoghurt dressing. The main course included a new product in Sokołów's range, venison, meat of high nutritional value, lower in calories and fat (polysaturated and unsaturated), and containing a lot of easy-to-digest protein, valuable vitamins and minerals. Deer meat, fried tenderloin and baked saddle of deer, was served with kaszotto made with barley flakes, and baked root vegetables. Balls of positive energy were the “icing on the cake”.
Joint effort after the workshop became a perfect opportunity to continue the discussion and motivate one another to effectively achieve goals intended to make life better.
