In its activities, the Sokołów Flavour Academy focuses on food not only in terms of filling one's stomach, but also in terms of taking pleasure in having a meal. The next Academy workshop was held in a relaxed atmosphere of a garden party. Apart from barbecuing and preparing some extras, the participants of the workshop had the opportunity to gain insight into the importance of the quality and origin of the meat, the choice of wine to go with the meal and modern, top quality barbecue equipment.
The convivial atmosphere of the Manor House in Wola Suchożebrska, the seat of the Sokołów Flavour Academy, is conducive to meetings which are a perfect break from the everyday hustle. Preparing a meal with other people and then consuming it slowly enables you to rediscover the abundance of flavours.
The workshop, attended by bloggers and the editors of the “Kukbuk” magazine, was held in the park surrounding the Manor House. Under the watchful eye of Dominik Moskalenko, Sokołów's master chef, the participants prepared barbecued meats and simple but ingenious extras: vegetables, salads, salsas and BBQ sauces.
At the workshop, Barbara Tomczuk, deputy manager of the meat purchasing department of Sokołów S.A., emphasized the importance of quality, safety and origin of the meat. Sokołów, which cooperates with Polish breeders under the innovative programme “Together into the Future”, has full control over each production stage of the raw materials. In this way, the company is certain that the meat processed at Sokołów's facilities is safe and of high, proven quality.
A sommelier representing the company Czerwona Oliwka presented the main rules for combining wine and food. A representative of the Top Grille store, the main partner of the Weber brand, elaborated on the latest solutions employed in the barbecue equipment as well as the selection criteria for the equipment to suit the users' needs.
