Dumplings stuffed with Sokołów vegetable pâté “Z gruntu dobre” (Getting to the root)

Dumplings by Sokołów


  • 1 pack of Sokołów vegetable pâté “Z gruntu dobre” (for about 20 dumplings)



  • 1 kg wheat flour
  • 200 ml hot water
  • 15 g salt
  • 20 ml oil


Sauce for dumplings:

  • 100 g sun-dried tomatoes
  • 50 g white onions
  • 75 ml olive oil
  • chives or parsley leaves


Put wheat flour, salt and one tablespoon of oil in a dish. Next gradually add hot water to scald the flour slightly. Knead the mixture until smooth. When kneaded, wrap the dough up in aluminium foil and put aside for about an hour to rest.

Roll the dough until 1 mm thick. Next cut out circles and put the vegetable pâté stuffing inside. Glue the dough together and cook the dumplings in boiling salted water for about 3 minutes after they start floating.
Dice the onions and tomatoes finely. Put them on a frying pan, add olive oil and heat up slowly until all ingredients are soft. Finally add chopped greens: chives or parsley leaves.
